Surya belongs to a family who has problems with another factionist family. In order to end the deadly fight among the two groups, Surya’s Mom sends him to Bangkok to lead a new life. There, Surya translates his name to Siddhartha and gets in love with Shahastra. When things appear to be going perfectly fine, his mother quickly asks him to come back and marry the child of his opponent’s family.
What will Surya aka Siddhartha do now? What will appear to Shahastra? Will he marry according to his mother’s wish? That forms the foundation of the novel.
