Ocean's 8 - Story

Newly released con artist Debbie Ocean – the "late" Danny Ocean's more active sister – convinces previous partner-in-crime, Lou, to join her in a new heist. They construct their team: broke fashion designer Rose Weil, jewelry maker Amita, eager to move out of her mother's house, hacker Nine Ball, a street hustler and thief Constance, and cheater Tammy, who encompasses stolen assets out of her local orphanage.

Debbie plans to take the Toussaint, a $150 million Cartier jewelry, during the anticipated Met Gala and use movie star Daphne Kluger as a mule. The team manages Daphne into hiring Weil and establish Cartier to loan Daphne the Toussaint. They digitally examine the necklace to complete a cubic zirconia replica. Tammy obtains a job at Vogue and increases entrance to the gala, and Debbie leads Daphne to invite art dealer Claude Becker, whose betrayal sent Debbie to the penitentiary, as her date. Lou confronts Debbie for plotting vengeance against Becker, but Debbie comforts her this is not the problem.
