Shravani (Amulya) is in love with Sudeep (Yashas), but she finds out that he's rowdy. While escaping from his friends, she is protected by Subramanya aka Subbu (Ganesh), a budding singer. To save Shravani from an unpleasant situation, Subbu pretends to be her husband for a day. But Shravani provokes the wrath of her dad Kempegowda (Avinash) who forbids her from entering the house.

Subbu and Shravani including the help of an agent (Sadhu Kokila), move into a rented house occupied by Seetharam (Anant Nag) and Anuradha (Tara). Many changes take place in their careers while they play husband and wife; Subbu gets a lot as a singer and Shravani displays a master. Though Shravani and Subbu love each other, they don't show it to each other. One day, Shravani's father forcibly takes her behind the home. Subbu accompanies him to the house, in order to get Shravani.

Ganesh (ಗಣೇಶ್) is an Indian film actor and activist in the Kannada movie industry. After having seen success in television as a show host in "Comedy Time", which was issued on the Udaya Channel, he made his film debut as a lead with Chellata in 2006. He shot to fame with the blockbuster movie Mungaru Male, Hudugaata, Cheluvina Chithara, Gaalipata, Krishna, Aramane, Bombaat, Sangama, Circus, Ullasa Utsaha, Malayali Jotheyali, Eno Onthara, Kool, Maduve Mane, Shyloo, Romeo

Amulya made her debut in films as a child artist in the 2001 Kannada film Parva that had Vishnuvardhan performing the lead role. Her debut as a star actress came in the 2007 film Cheluvina Chittara opposite Ganesh which was successful at the box-office. She then seemed in Chaitrada Chandrama, Premium, Naanu Nanna Kanasu, Manasology, Shravani Subramanya. She was given the title 'Golden Queen' by her co-star of Shravani Subramanya, Ganesh Her performance in the film won her, her first Filmfare Award, the award for Best Actress. Amulya thought Meera in Gajakesari, as the love interest of the character played by Yash., Khushi Khushiyagi, saw her being paired opposite Ganesh for the third time
