Synopsis:

The film opens to a picture in the pre-independence era, anywhere Vikrama has understood wording off a British official. Cut to do was a journalist making investigative journalism at a site titled Vikrama Teertha, wherein the hidden history and possibly also about the digging. The reporter who writes a letter to the Home Minister (Girish Karnad) before moving in for reviewing gets raped and killed while her investigation.

The letter gives the Home Minister a few days following and he gets to know that the journalist has been missing since then which in turn incites him to know more on the place. He now wants a rugged and tough but an impartial officer to take up this case though under cover; note Vikram (Puneeth Rajkumar)- an aspiring before a wannabe police officer, who has passed all the terms and yet not appointed as he is removed ready to bribe the referees. His lover (Adah Sharma) helps him but still, she is continually insecure regarding losing him.

Vikram who joins the Home Minister manages to affect him and sensing a great chance the minister gives him to Vikrama Teertha, where he involves himself in a fight with the town MLA who is into illegal mining. In a few turns of events, it is understood that the head of the mining is based in London and is included in this from generations unknown to the outer world. While Vikram is narrated a story in a flashback about his grandpa. What is the connection between Vikram and Vikramatheertha? Will Vikram succeed in preventing mining? All these are explained in the climax which is deserving viewing onscreen.
