Bell Bottom movie is a passionate action thriller written and directed by Jayathirtha and produced by Santosh Kumar KC while Ajaneesh Loknath arranged music for this movie. Divakara is the son of a cop, but he wants to be a detective - respect his love for occultism novels and films because of childhood. While he grows up to be a constable, fate gives him a chance to use his tact to solve the case of a series of burglaries that involve removing collected loot in police stations. Story
Divakara (Rishab) is a detective, a detective at heart, ends up taking on the biggest case in his area. The case presents him meet multiple characters, which include some quirky criminals, and he even finds love in the and playful Kusuma, who is a racketeer selling illegal liquor in the area. With so many characters that prove to be suspects and a case that seems difficult to solve at times, Divakara has a lot to deal with but a cop by declaration. He takes up one of the biggest cases in his area in order to establish himself as a spy. During the examination, he ends up meeting several quirky features that only make it harder for it to resolve the case.
Amidst this, he finds love in Kusuma (Haripriya), who is included in selling illicit liquor. Will Divakar be capable to solve the case? Do he and Kusuma marry one? The suspense is unveiled in the second half of the film.
Sandalwood sees both Rishab Shetty and Jayathirtha as names that are associated with films that support good content. So, when the couple pulled up for a film, the expectations were certainly higher. Bell Bottom is a crime thriller with a comical approach
The retro feel to the film, right from the visuals, knowledge score and dresses is a highlight. The discussions, with relevant references of pop events and idols around that era, are a treat too. The casting is spot on. Rishab leads the pack with a performance that is outstanding. Hariprriya passes yet another firm act, showing why she is recognized as one of the most versatile actresses around right now. Pramod Shetty, PD Sathish Chandra, and Sujay Shastry also reach out.
Bell Bottom is one of the finer films to have hit the screens recently. The film is entertaining, no doubt. But what is more deserving is the fact that it has those little tastes that ensure the comparison to the time that the film is set in remain intact. Bell Bottom is worth that weekend trip to the cinema halls for its laughs and intelligent reporting.
